Dear Friends of the LIFE+ Northern Bald Ibis project,
on August 25, we were finally able to start the human migration 2014 after a long, weather-related delay. The conditions on that day were not ideal. The weather forecast predicted south wind for the Alpine region. However, the passable conditions were limited to one day, so we had a go.

By now, we`ve been waiting for a week here at Grödig/Salzburg for the start of the human-led migration. Now it seems that on Monday 25 August the weather conditions will be good enough to finally start with the first stage, the crossing of the Alps.

Dear Friends of the LIFE+ Northern Bald Ibis project,
on August 6th, the city government of Überlingen at Lake Constance and Waldrappteam agreed to collaborate in the context of the project LIFE+ ‚Reason for Hope‘. The primary aim is to reintroduce a migratory breeding colony of Northern Bald Ibises at Überlingen.
